Stay in Travelers Rest With Lola The Glamper Camper
/Everyone, we’d like to introduce you to the newest member of The Swamp Rabbit Inn: Lola. Lola is a refurbished 1969 Lamar vintage camper; a unique lodging option at The Swamp Rabbit Inn in Travelers Rest, SC. Restored by Greenville’s own TreeHugger Customs, Lola is perfect for those looking for a cozy and intimate space all to themselves.
Lola came to us last month and has been a hit amongst guests ever since. "I wanted to hook that glamper up to my SUV and pull it back to Georgia with me,” said a recent guest. “I'll be back.” We unveiled Lola at our Swamp Rabbit Music Fest last month where attendees were able to use her as a photo booth and enjoy photo opps within her boho chic interior.
With the rise in popularity of glamping over the past few years, we decided it was time for us to join in on all the fun. Whether you’re in Greenville on vacation or a resident in need of a staycation, Lola is the perfect accommodation. She is located across the street from the Swamp Rabbit Trail and walking distance to restaurants, breweries, cafes, and more along downtown Travelers Rest’s Main Street.
On the inside, Lola is equipped with a full kitchen - yes, believe it! This lil camper has a fridge, microwave, stove top, sink AND an oven. Even more important, a french press - can we get a “whoop whoop!” There’s also a private bathroom, adorned in copper, with a shower and two beds. Again … yes, you heard right! Lola has one queen size bed with a custom mattress from Engineered Sleep Mattress Co. and a full size bed that folds down from the kitchen table. Additional comforts include cable tv, high speed wifi, overhead lighting, heating and air conditioning and electrical outlets.
On the outside, Lola has her own private patio with a picnic table and tiki torches surrounding. It’s a perfect spot for lounging in the morning with a cup of joe or filling up with friends at night. There’s also a fire pit for campfires in the fall and a grill for cooking up savory eats in the summer. Guests can enjoy all that Lola’s private outdoor area has to offer, but are more than welcome to venture across the yard to the pool for a swim or visit with other guests. We even have bikes to rent on site.
